For the sixth year in a row, GBTEC is listed in Gartner "Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis" [1] in 2023 as one of only 24 representative vendors. The analysts selected vendors who represent the four most common use cases in the EBPA market: Strategy to Execution, Business Process Analysis, Enterprise Architecture, and Process Automation. Each of these use cases has its own stakeholders, roles, objectives, and related product features and functionality.

In Gartner definition, EBPA “is a comprehensive approach toward business and process modeling aimed at transforming and improving business performance with an emphasis on cross-viewpoint (strategy, analysis, architecture, automation), cross-functional analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.“ According to Gartner two man drivers exist for EBPA tool adoption: The growing need to ensure process orchestration and process alignment as well as the creation of business operations resilience.

BIC Platform meets all requirements of an EBPA tool
In the Market Guide, Gartner states that EBPA tools go above and beyond process modeling: “Unlike more traditional business process analysis (BPA), EBPA tools support the professional modeling community (process architects and process analysts) and the rank-and-file workforce as part of the move toward the democratization of process improvement, and knowledge discovery and dissemination.” With EBPA tools, companies can shift their focus from pure process modeling towards process automation and process mining capabilities, realizing the promise of democratized process optimization. With its three BPM modules, GBTEC offers a holistic suite covering all steps of a customer’s process optimization journey. From process design to process automation and process mining, customers streamline their operational workflows from start to finish within one software suite.

The GBTEC founder and CEO Gregor Greinke thinks that the repeated recognition is proof that GBTEC has established itself as one of the leading providers of EBPA software: "We are proud that Gartner names us as a Representative Vendor in the field of enterprise business process analysis, for the sixth time. In BIC Platform, we combine all the building blocks that make up a first-class EBPA solution seamlessly and consistently in just one software suite. Our focus has always been on high usability, not only for BPM specialists but also for non-technical users."

Greinke adds: “I am convinced that these (non-technical) users will play an increasingly important role, especially regarding process automation. As such, BIC Process Execution transforms business processes directly into executable workflows – without any programming efforts. The importance of no-code and low-code technologies will further increase in the next years as they are the key to keeping pace in this fast-moving, digital world.”
